"Helping People Use the Law..to Resolve Critical Life Conflicts"
Areas of Interest and Practice:

  •        Securities Law:

  I have a particular interest (though not recognized as a specialist) in
securities law, having

  • served as the former enforcement attorney for the Arkansas
    Securities Department;

  • served as President and regulatory principal of four (4) NASD
    and SEC member firms; and

  • qualified by examination for the industry requirements as a
    registered representative, general securities principal, financial
    and operations principal, and registered investment advisor.

  •        Business Law:

  Utilizing my undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from
Arkansas State University and a Masters of Business Administration
Degree from the University of Central Arkansas, I serve as legal
counsel for Cuso Partners, LLC, an investment securities firm owned
exclusively by many of the nation’s largest and most progressive
credit unions.

  •        Charitable Organizations & Charitable Giving:

  As a currently serving member of the Board of Directors of the
United Pentecostal Foundation, a type III supporting organization, I
also have a particular interest (though not recognized as a specialist)
in the formation, funding and management of non-profit organizations,
as well as planned giving strategies and trusts in support of
charitable purposes.  I am a member of the National Committee of
Planned Giving and the Arkansas Chapter of Leave a Legacy.

  •      Non-Profit Religious Organizations:

  As a member of the Board of Directors of The First Church, Inc., I
provide advice and counsel in the area of general corporate law with
particular interest in the formation and management of religious non-
profit organizations, as well as providing consultations to
constituents of numerous religious organizations.

  Speaking of issues confronting the public in general, and
constituents of religious organizations, I provide the following quote
from the true  “Law Giver.”
“Come to terms quickly with your enemy
before it is too late and he drags you into court and you are thrown into a
debtor's cell, for you will stay there until you have paid the last penny.”

Matt 5:24-26 (TLB

  Fortunately for those in the United States, physical debtor’s prisons
no longer exist for those incurring legitimate debt, but the general
principle espoused remains universally true., i.e. compromise,
mediation and arbitration are superior and preferable methods to
settle legal disputes.  In support of this maxim I serve as an instructor
and facilitator in the areas of personal financial management and debt
counseling.

  •        General Practice of Law:

During my 24 years as a lawyer, I have provided legal services in the
areas:

  •         adoptions;
  •       bankruptcy;
  •       business formation;
  •       child custody disputes;
  •       contracts;
  •       debt counseling;
  •       divorce;
  •       elder law;
  •       estate planning;
  •       family law;
  •       guardianships;
  •       litigation;
  •       probate administration;
  •       real estate (deeds, mortgages, notes, & land disputes);
  •       retirement planning;  and
  •       trusts.

  Though not in a formal professional partnership, I do associate
counsel when working in many of the general areas of law set forth
above.  I associate with Mr. Ken Jones, Attorney at Law, in the areas
of litigation, real estate and probate administration.  I also associate
with Ms. Grace Stramiello, Attorney at Law, licensed in New Jersey and
Arkansas, in the areas of debt counseling, bankruptcy, domestic
relations, litigation, and non-profit organizations.
